Eight-Generation Ancestry of Diana Gale MATTHIESEN |
This page was compiled as an aid to my FamilyTreeDNA FamilyFinder test
"matchees." It consists of four pedigree charts, one for each of
my four grandparents. Each genealogy extends back eight generations
from me, where known, which should be enough to encompass the useful range
of the FF test.
To be cousins, we must have a common ancestor, which means our paper pedigrees must intersect at some point — in one couple or one person at some point in time and place. I hope these charts will make it easier for you to quickly scan my pedigree for our potential common ancestor. So far, there has been no overlap in the ancestry of my four grandparents. So, if we are related, it's probably through only one of my grandparents, and you can narrow your search by checking the surnames listed for each one. |

• Names are linked to family group sheets with
futher details and documentation.
• An arrowhead in the right-most column indicates deeper ancestry is known. If I have a chart for that ancestry, the arrowhead will be a link to that chart. • Surnames are in ALL-CAPS and boldface for quick scanning. • Danes were generally late to adopt surnames; their patronyms are shown in Initial-caps. • "Hg" = Haplogroup. • DK = Denmark; Tønder Amt [county] is, today, in Sønderjyllands (South Jutland); Ribe Amt is still Ribe. • Table cells tinted blue indicate a patrilineal descendant has been Y-DNA tested. • Table cells tinted pink indicate a matrilineal descendant has been mtDNA tested. • Table cells tinted gray are connections from secondary sources that I've not had time to document. • For my mtDNA test results, please see this page (I'm haplogroup T1a4). There are more pedigree charts that take my ancestry further back, which are linked to my Pedigree Home Page, though it's doubtful that the FF test would be useful for connecting any further back than in the charts below. Numbers in the header row are generations back from me (beginning with me as #0). |
