Projects and Analyses plus Additional Information
Relevant to Genetic Genealogy and My Family's Genealogy
I'm the administrator of six DNA projects and co-admin of a seventh
based at FamilyTreeDNA (one regional project, five Y-DNA surname projects,
and one haplogroup project), plus I'm the DNA admin for the Lyon(s) Families
Association. I've also done analyses of Y-DNA test results from other
projects for a few of my family lines or by request. I'm unlikely
to take on any more projects, but I will probably continue to add family
analyses as time goes on (or, rather, as I can find the time).
These listings from FTDNA are useful with this caveat:
their cut-off points are a bit high. So, don't write off a borderline
match if other evidence suggests there should be a connection (e.g.,
they share an uncommon surname), in which case, look for "in-betweeners"
that could bridge the genetic distance between them.
