These pages are intended as an aid for advancing your Lyon/Lyons genealogy using DNA testing in cooperation with the Lyon(s) Families Association.  Test results from any and all testing laboratories are welcome, not just those from the Lyon(s) DNA Surname Project based at FamilyTreeDNA.

Subsidies

If you want to increase the probability of making a match and speed up the advance of this project and your own genealogy, offer to fully or partially subsidize a test.  My needed Lyon cousin has already been tested, so I won't be personally offering to subsidize another test, here, but I can vouch from experience that offering to subsidize all or part of the testing for a cousin on a needed line is an effective way to bring them forward for testing and, thus, advance your own genealogy.

Lyon(s) DNA Project based at FamilyTreeDNA

Note that Ancestry has ceased doing Y-DNA testing,
so the "Lyon Group" there no longer exists.
The current "Ancestry-DNA" test is an autosomal-DNA test,
comparable to FamilyTreeDNA's "FamilyFinder" test.
