Conrad
KOPP I
Eva Elisabetha KNÖDLER / KNOEDLER |
|||
WARNING: Sorting out the baptisms of the children in Northampton [now Lehigh] County has its problems. Conrad II, our subject, and his father, Conrad I, were both having children in the county, and both had wives named, "Elisabetha/Elisabeth/Elizabeth." The earlier children show the mother as "Eva Elisabetha," while the younger ones have mother, "Elisabeth." I have taken this to be the difference between our subject's children and those of his son. This difference also coincides with the children known to have moved to Ohio with Conrad II. There is also the fact that Eva Elisabetha was too old to be the mother of the later children. However, the possibility remains that I did not make the division in the right place. We would really like to find the death records of all of Conrad II's children, to confirm who their parents were. | |||
