It's a file whose source appears highly reliable — namely, The Groningers, Croningers, Chroningers, Greningers and Kroningers in America — otherwise, I wouldn't be following it. In a biographical sketch of his grandson, Peter Jr., Peter Sr. is said to have had a brother, Leonard, who was kidnapped by Amerindians. This may be mere romantic legend, and it may refer to Peter's father, not an alleged brother.
