THOMPSONs in the 1810-1850 Censuses of Christian, Todd, and Trigg Cos., KY
Meaning of abbreviations for watersheds:
DCPR Drake's Creek fork of Pond River In northernmost Christian Co.
EFRR Elk Fork of the Red River From central Todd Co., flows southeastward to the southeastern corner of the county, then into Tennessee.
LR Little River Its several forks flow from west-central and south-central Christian Co. westward into and through Trigg Co. 
MFLR Muddy Fork of the Little River From westernmost Christian Co., flows into northeastern Trigg Co.
PR Pond River
West Fork of the Pond River		 The Pond River proper begins in northwestern Todd Co., then flows northwestward forming the border between Christian Co. and Muhlenberg Co.  In Christian Co. records, "Pond River" usually refers to the West Fork of the Pond River, which flows from central Christian Co. northeastward to join the Pond River at the boundary with Muhlenberg Co. 
SFLR Sinking Fork of the Little River From central Christian Co. (west of Hopkinsville) flows westward into Trigg Co
TW Tradewater River From central Christian Co., flows northwestward to form the border between Hopkins and Caldwell Cos.
WFRR West Fork of the Red River From west-central Todd Co., flows southwestward through southwestern Todd Co., then through the extreme southeasternern corner of Christian Co. into Montgomery Co., TN — hence the many connections between families in southeastern Christian Co., southwestern Todd Co., and northern Montgomery Co., TN.

3Peter is missing from the census, but he is on the tax rolls from 1799 thru 1826, so he must have been missed in the census
(others, from the same watershed, are also on the tax rolls, but missing from the census, so it may be that a page or more is missing).
4"M." is "Matthew" in the 1819 Tax Rolls, but he is too old to be Matthew Richard (see 1830/40/50, below) and has no son to become Matthew Richard. 
5The index at GenealogyLibrary.com reads "T.N."  The index at the Santa Clara Co. Gen. Soc. reads "T.V. Jr."  Bob Matthiesen read it as "J.T.V." 
Update:  Bob Matthiesen is correct, it's "J.T.V." — for James Turner Vance THOMPSON.
