John's father/brother, Robert, was known to have been "of Augusta Co., VA" and have come to Christian Co., KY, ca. 1806, so it is likely that John has similar origins and migrated at the same time... and now that I have the tax rolls, yes, indeed, John shows up in Christian Co. for the first time in 1806, however, there are no Robert Thompsons on the tax rolls until 1811. 11.
