The identity of Bennett's mother, that is, Abner's first wife and the mother of all his children, is unknown. Abner married second to Sarah "Sally" (LONDON) SUMMERS, widow of Johnson SUMMERS. Abner had no children with Sally.

*In 1885, after the deaths of William Jefferson ROSE and Delilah Ann (McCRAY) THOMPSON, George Washington THOMPSON married Margaret Elizabeth (GIBSON) ROSE.  They had no children together (she was 47 when they married).  It is said to have been a "marriage of convenience" as both George and Margaret had been left with young children to raise.
