Although West Virginia was not formed from Virginia until 1863, for the sake of these census tables, I'm treating its counties as if they had always been in West Virginia. The 1790 and 1800 Virginia censuses were lost, except for Accomac County (Delmarva Peninsula) in 1800. The entire 1890 census was lost. |
