Family tradition has him the son of Andrew STRAUB, Founder of Freeburg, but I've so far been unable to prove the connection on paper. Andrew, the Founder, is proven to have had a son, Andrew. I simply haven't been able to prove that this* Andrew is that Andrew, though nothing has been found to argue against the connection. Paper genealogy shows him to be an ancestor of President Barack OBAMA.
