Kansas became a Territory in 1854, and there were territorial censuses each year from 1855 through 1859 and a federal census in 1860.  Kansas became a State in 1861, and there were state censuses every ten years from 1865 thru 1915; and, obviously, federal censuses from 1870 onwards.  The entire 1890 census was lost.

In 1855, the census was enumerated by districts, not counties, so I cannot place this one individual in the tables below:  J.D. CORBAN (an unmarried man age 21).  There were no CORBIN/etc. indexed in Kansas 1856 or 1858.  The 1859 "census" is actually a voter registration list.

"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal on a main frame." Been there; done that. Never again.
