The mutation defining this subclade (M267) occurred an estimated 24.1 ± 9.4 thousand years ago; today, populations are widely distributed throughout the Middle East and northern Africa.  See Figure 2, Map B in Semino et al. (2004. American Journal of Human Genetics 74(5):1023-1034) for distribution of J-M67.
Haplogroup J members are encouraged to also join the Y-DNA-J Haplogroup Project at FamilyTreeDNA to contribute to the body of knowledge accumulating about this haplogroup and, thus, to increase our own knowledge about ourselves.

This individual is only a distant match with the J1 modal haplotype.  He has no significant matches (as of 29 Nov 2014). 
Ysearch entry 5AKXR states,
"Levite identifiers used on tombstones in 18th century (Schmieheim cemetery) — before Lion name was used.  Various descendants emigrated to USA from mid-19th to early 20th centuries."
