Death of Daniel B. Stroub
One of St. Joseph County's Thrifty Farmers
Daniel B. Stroub, of St. Joseph county, Ind., died in this city this morning.  The remains will be taken to Warren, on the L.S. & M.S. railroad Thursday morning.  Daniel B. Stroub left his home in north Warren township about 10 days ago to visit his son, Mr. D. Newton Stroub, who resides here.  He was subsequently taken ill, death relieving him this morning.  He was about 60 years old and one of St. Joseph county's
thriftiest farmers.  He was twice married.  By his first wife he leaves four sons -- D. Newton, of Salt Lake City; Wesley, of South Dakota; Jacob and Fred, residing at home, and a daughter, Miss Minerva, living at home.  By his second wife he leaves two young sons living at home.

Lakeville. The funeral of the late Daniel B. Stroup, of Warren township, whose death occurred in Salt Lake City, Utah, will occur Sunday at 2 p.m. from the residence about three miles north of Warren station.  The remains arrived Friday.

Mrs. Fiana Stroup, age 69, 1180 1/2 Lincoln Way East, died this morning at 10 o'clock after an illness of six days from paralysis.  She was born in Ohio, July 22, 1856 and had lived here 60 years coming here from Ohio.  She is survived by one son, Robert I. Stroup, Lydick, Ind., and the following brothers and sisters:  Mrs. Ella Mangus, Lakeville, Miss Vina Folk and Mrs. Clara Kreighbaum, Los Angeles, Calif; Nelson Folk, North Liberty; Mrs. Tillie Trump, Plymouth, Ind.; Mrs. George M. Brown, Miss Rebecca Folk, and Mrs. Elmer Wells, all of South Bend.  The funeral will be held at the A.M. Russell funeral chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
