LUDWIG, MRS. JACK
     The former Carrie Huguet, she died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at the Baton Rouge General Hospital.  She was a native and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge.  Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, with calling hours from 10 a.m. Sunday until 10 p.m. Sunday, and from 8 a.m. until service time at Rabenhorst Chapel at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. William Parkerson officiating.  Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery.  Pallbearers: John Belle, Ludwig Belle, Clarence Karney, Ronald Huguet and Charles Hewes.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Claybert (Janet) Belle of Baton Rouge and Mrs. George (Janet) Johnson of New Iberia; two sisters, Mrs. C.H. Karney and Mrs. C.J. Bogan, both of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was a retired bookbinder.

Death of John Ludwig.
     The Call Leader received a letter today from Chattanooga, Tenn., bearing the first news received here of the death of John P. Ludwig, age 58, who died at his home there on Sunday, January 10, following a long illness.
     He leaves a widow, Mrs. Mary Shipley Ludwig, and one son, John S. Ludwig, four daughters, Edna, Ruth and Leah of Poplar Buff (sic), and Wistie L. Ludwig, of Chattanooga.  Several relatives in and near Elwood and a host of friends who will be greived (sic) to learn of his death.  For many years he resided at 2009 South L street in this city and he was a prominent plasterer and cement worker while here.
