Birth:  20 Dec 1882, Randolph Co., IL
Death:  aft. 1910 census
Military Service:  Philippine Insurrection (9 Dec 1899 - 15 Dec 1902):  Pvt., Troop E, 5th Cavalry Rgmt., U.S. Army
Father:  Franklin Pierce BROWN
Mother:  Margaret Caroline Annetta CAMPBELL
Marriage:  20 Jun 1904, Butler Co., MO
Wife:  [Elizabeth?] Eliza Mae / May JENNINGS
Birth:  30 Jan 1885, Butler Co., MO

Father:  Benjamin Franklin "Frank" JENNINGS
Mother:  Sarah Ellender "Ella" KEARBY / KIRBY

Eliza's paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Hunter (MAY) JENNINGS, so I'm inclined to think that's the origin of Eliza's middle name (i.e., that it was originally May, not Mae).

Children — born in Poplar Bluff, Butler Co., MO:
1.  Benjamin Franklin "Ben" BROWN, Jr., b. 17 Apr 1905; d. 18 Apr 1905
2.  Paul Truman "Terry" BROWN, b. 25 Dec 1907
3.  Ralph Jerome BROWN, b. 5 Sep 1910; d. 3 Dec 1967, Koochiching, Koochiching Co., MN; m. Dorothy Claudia CATLIN (1912-1984)

Benjamin appears to have lied about his age to enter the armed forces.  (My grandfather did the same thing and ended up seriously wounded in the Philippines).  Bloomington is in McLean County.
