Moses CORBIN
Harriet __?__
WARNING:  there is very poor correspondence between our subject's list of children in the 1850 census and the one in the 1860 census, for which I see no obviously explanation beyond gross enumerator error and/or adoptions.  More evidence is needed to determine exactly who their biological children were.

NOTICE:  a patrilineal descendant of Simeon Jackson CORBIN, son or nephew of our subject, has been tested for the CORBIN Y-DNA Surname Project, and he is a high level match with Edward CORBIN of Beaufort Dist. [now Hampton Co.], SC.  There are also what appear to be paper connections with the HARVEY family of Barnwell Co., SC, and Columbia Co., FL, suggesting our subject's origin in SC may be Barnwell County.

Husband:  Moses CORBIN / CORBAN
Birth:  1813-15, SC
Death apparently:  1860-70, Lafayette Co., FL

Marriage:
Wife:  Harriet __?__

5.  Sarah Jane CORBIN, b. 1846/7
6.  Mary CORBIN, b. 1848/9

This record would make more sense if the ages of the three younger children is wrong; in other words, if they were 6, 4, and 2, meaning they were born after the 1850 census.  Listed next to William G. HARVEY and his family, who are listed two households from son, John CORBIN (see next source).  Also in Lafayette County, son James CORBIN is living with the LOCKELIER family, and son William CORBIN (wife Arletta A. LOCKELIER) is married with two children.  These CORBINs constitute all the CORBINs (or variations) indexed in the 1860 Florida census.

I really don't know what to make of this record, either the relationships or the ages (or both) are wrong.  Are the three youngest children Henry's?  They can't be Harriet's.
