Charles Solon CORBIN
Florence LUCKIE
Eller __?__
Emma Izora __?__
Husband:  Charles Solon CORBIN
Birth:  13 Sep 1848, Carroll Co., MS
Death:  29 Dec 1906
Disposition:  buried Lone Grove Cemetery, Carter Co., OK
Occupation:  farmer
Father:  William Blaine CORBIN
Mother:  Jane SANDERS
Marriage-1:  ca. 1874
Wife-1:  Florence LOCKIE / LUCKIE
Birth:  in TX

Based on the 1900 census record of her son, Solon (see below), our subject's first wife should be a sister of Eugenia Druscilla (MELTON) TAYLOR or James A. TAYLOR.  Only two of Eugenia's sisters appear old enough to be Solon's mother:  Sarah Melvina, who married Charles William LOCKHART, and Pinckney, who appears to have died young, before 1870.  The only sister of James's young enough to be our subject's wife was Caledonia TAYLOR, who either died or married before 1870 (and was born in MO, not TX).  So, was the relationship "nephew" not meant literally?

Marriage-2:  1879/80
Wife-2:  Ella "Eller" OGLE / COX
Birth:  1856/7, AR
Occupation:  homemaker
Father:  born in VA
Mother:  born in MO
Marriage-3:  1894/5
Wife-3:  Emma Izora "Zora" __?__ — HILMAN? HILTON?
Birth:  Aug 1863 or 1860, TX
Death:  15 Mar 1902
Disposition:  buried Lone Grove Cemetery, Carter Co., OK
Occupation:  homemaker
Other Spouse:  m1. Mr. REED? / REEVES? m2. Robert Wesley FLOYD
Child with Wife-1:
  1.  Charles Solon CORBIN, Jr., b. 28 Nov 1875, Falls Co., TX

  6.  Elbert Eliezander CORBIN, b. Jan 1888 or 22 Feb 1888; d. Dec 1966, Mountain View, Kiowa Co., OK

Based on the 1890 census, our subject had six children at this point:  two males and four females.

Sources (n.b., Oklahoma became a state in 1907; the Chickasaw Nation was divided among several counties):

1.  Marriage Record:

2.  1870 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Charley CORBIN (æ 21, b. MS) is living in Falls Co., TX, with his widowed mother (q.v.).  There is a Florence LUCKY (æ 14, b. TX), living in McLennan Co., TX (p.), with her father, Middleton LUCKY (æ 61, b. GA) and stepmother, Disa [KILLOUGH] (æ 40, b. AL), plus siblings.

If Charles & Eller were married within the year, which is what the tick in Column 12 means, and if Solon's mother was born in Texas, then Eller is not Solon's mother.  Drew was born in AL, not MS.

4a.  1890 Census:  the 1890 Census Population Schedules were destroyed.

4b.  1890 First Territorial Census of Oklahoma (online at Ancestry.com):  not found.  Based on the birthplaces of the children, he should be in Pickens Co., Chickasaw Nation, and he is (see next source).  Ancestry states that their database of the 1890 Oklahoma Territory contains only these counties:  "The 1890 census enumerates the following seven counties: Beaver, Canadian, Cleveland, Kingfisher, Logan, Oklahoma, and Payne."  So it's no surprise he is not in this database.

4c.  Based on Message #3396 in the Corbin Family Genealogy Forum (online at GenForum.com), there is an extant 1890 Census of the Chickasaw Nation:-•
C. S. Corbin & Wife are listed on the 1890 Census of Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (OK) - Pickens County as follows:

#21850 Corbin, C. S. & Wife - 42 yrs old; 2 male children; 4 female children; Jimtown (Love Co) Post Office; US Citizen - Intruder (adult male without residence permit); White, 8 in household.

Twenty-two children!  That can't be right.  This has to be part of the enumerator's confusion over how long Charles has been married.  Eddie, Martha, and Elbert are Charles children from his prior marriage to Eller, which means the birthplace of their mother should have been AR, not TX.  Victoria, Della, and Emma are Zora's children from her marriage to R.W. FLOYD.  Claude, Drew, Berdie, and Alma are the children of Charles & Zora.
