For Lillian to be Henry's daughter, Henry must have died in late 1899 or early 1900, and Emma had to have been pregnant at the time of the 1900 census. Otherwise, Lillian is either illegitimate or adopted. The three grandsons apparently are the children of her son, James Bertle STROUP, and his late first wife.
