Please Note: Francis's patrilineal paper trail leads to the 1711 Palatine immigrant to New York, Johannes STRAUB. An alleged patrilineal grandson of Francis has been Y-DNA tested at SMGF, and he is not a DNA match with a patrilineal descendant of Johannes, one with a solid paper trail. Either we are looking at an NPE or there's been a mistake in the paper trail. I urge patrilineal male descendants of Francis to be Y-DNA tested to help uncover where the genetic disconnect may have taken place — or whether we have a mistake in paper genealogy.
