Comparing Source Nos. 3 and 5, below, there seems to be some question whether Johannes was, during 1710-11, in Livingston Manor, Ulster [now Sullivan] Co., NY, or in West Camp, Ulster Co., NY.

Geographical Note: Apollonia's birthplace is given by secondary sources as "Oberndorf, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany." In English, the Pfalz is the Palatinate, which is now the Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz in German), while Bayern is Bavaria. For a time, Bavaria was in administrative control of the Palatinate, but now the two are separate. In other words, Oberndorf is today in Donnersbergkreis, Rhineland-Palatinate, not Bavaria. (kreis = district)

This list was compiled from the "journal" of Palatine debtors to the British government for subsistence given either in New York City or in the Hudson River settlements, from their landing in 1710 to September, 1712. The list was found in the Public Record Office, C.O. 5/1230 and was corrected from the accompanying 'ledger,' C.O. 5/1231. As it seemed advisable to include some indication of the number in each family and since limitations of space forbade the inclusion of the six notations at various times given in the journal, only two notations have been given here, that is, the first in 1710 usually and the last in 1712 normally.

The first number of the pair is the number of adults, the second is the number of children. For Johannes STRAUB, the second reading shows a child under ten, who would presumably have been Johann Heinrich. This book is a thorough rendering of the early Palatine experience in New York.

Livingston Manor was, then, in Ulster Co., and is, now, in Sullivan Co., so… was he in West Camp or Livingston Manor? Or is Rupp in error? (Wouldn't be the first time.)
