Samuel CUPP and John CUPP are said by secondary sources to be sons of Esther (MENSER) STACKHOUSE from a prior marriage to Oliver Perry CUPP. The facts dispute this assertion, so I believe it to be untrue. Samuel, at least, is not Esther's son, but her nephew, the son of her deceased sister, Caroline (MENSER) CUPP.
