These dates cannot be correct, if for no other reason than that we know Samuel and Violet were still alive in the 1850 census.

3.  1790 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  not found, and I did a page-by-page search of Pendleton District, where Samuel's father, Peter CORBIN, was enumerated.

4.  1800 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #16 of 125; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•
1800 SC Pendleton District Roll 50 p. 110 Ln. 14/391 Saml Corbin 10100-01100-00
These data indicate:
No. & Sex  Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 9 or under 1790-1800 = Richard (b. 1795/6 or 97)
1 male 16-25 1774-1784 = Samuel (b. 1770)
1 female 10-15 1784-1790 = ?
1 female 16-25 1774-1784 = Violett (b. 1770/75)
Listed nine lines above William HOOD (æ 16-25).  The teenage female is too old to be their daughter

5.  1810 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #28 of 39 — not indexed; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•
1810 SC Greenville Co. Roll 62 p. 123B/544/973 Ln. 19 S Corbin 21010-20010-00
These data indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
2 males 9 or under 1800-1810 = Son (b. c1802)
= Peter (b. c1800)
1 male 10-15 1794-1800 = Richard (b. 1797)
1 male 26-44 1765-1784 = Samuel (b. 1770)
2 females 9 or under 1800-1810 =
= Elizabeth (b. c1804)
1 female 26-44 1765-1784 = Violett (b. 1770/75)
Samuel's line is the last one on the page and is covered by a translucent binding tape; the entry is so pale, it is barely readable; the first numeral is either 2 or 3, and looks more like a 2.  The page is even less unreadable at Genealogy.com.  Samuel is listed 17 lines below Widow "Sary" [Sarah SMITH] CORBIN.  He's the last entry on the page, while his brother, J. [John] CORBIN, is the first entry on the next page (124A/974).

6.  1820 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #64 of 98; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•
1820 SC Pendleton Co. Roll M33_120 p. 212 Ln. 20 Samuel Corban 110101-12001-3_
These data indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 9 or under 1810-1820 = Emanuel (b. 1815/6)
1 male 10-15 1804-1810 = Son
1 male 19-25* 1794-1801 = Peter (b. c1800)
1 male 45 or over in or bef. 1775 = Samuel (b. 1770)
1 female 9 or under 1810-1820 = Daughter
2 females 10-15 1804-1810 = Nancy (b. 1810)
1 female 45 or over in or bef. 1775 = Violett (b. 1770/75)
3 persons engaged in agriculture
*In the 1820 Census, the third column is age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25, which means any individual in column three is duplicated in column four.  So, for an accurate representation of the household, the number in column three should be subtracted from the number in column four. If, after the subtraction, any individuals remain in column four, then they have to be age 19-25, thus creating a "new," more precise age class.
