We know from the childrens' birthplaces that our subject had moved to Georgia by 1831, so he should be in the 1840 census of Georgia.  There are three John WALLIS'es, two John WALLICE'es, and six John WALLACE'es in Georgia.  I checked them all, and the above John WALLIS is the only one whose numbers would permit him to be our subject; however, there's no guarantee this is our subject because he may simply have been mis-enumerated, mis-indexed, or missed entirely.  As further confirmation that this is, indeed, our subject, Irby CORBIN is also in Hall County, on the previous page.
