Reuben Allen CORBIN
Nancy A. __?__
Martha HARVEY
Elizabeth __?__
Rebecca GOODING
WARNING:  This page has serious anomalies.  Either we accept repeated errors in the censuses, or more than one Reuben CORBIN is represented here.  We are greatly hampered by the lack of SC marriage records.  I think it likely Martha and Elizabeth are the same woman.  This is not my family, so I can't justify spending any more time on it than I already have.  If you can resolve any of these discrepancies, please share.  Either way, caveat emptor!

Reuben and Elizabeth cannot have been married 25 years, not unless Nancy A., Martha Harvey, and Elizabeth are all the same person.  I do think there's a high probability that Martha and Elizabeth are the same person.  Unless Joseph was mistaken about the identity of his own mother — which adopted or stepchildren can be — he is without doubt son of Martha HARVEY.

The question asked in column 9 is, "Number of years of present marriage."  Obviously, this number should be the same for both the husband and wife.  It isn't, here, and it isn't on most of the households enumerated.  I don't know what the enumerator thought he was supposed to be recording, but it wasn't correct.  Also, if Rebecca has had no children, she can't be the same woman as the Elizabeth in 1900, so can't have been married to Reuben more than ten years.
