Almost everyone's fibbing about their age.  Thomas must be a grandson, and Benedict's position above him suggests he's Benedict's son.

This enumerator used no visitation numbers, at all.  Rachel is back to using her correct age, but Benedict, Sallie, and Martha are still fibbing.  The fact that Benedict is not listed as a widower argues against Thomas being his son.

Hutchinson Precinct...

MRS. RACHEL CORBIN, P.O. Hutchinson; was born in September, 1806, in Bourbon County, Ky., daughter of Beal and Ella (Corbin) Marsh, natives of Maryland.  They were married in Baltimore and came to Kentucky at a very early period.  Our subject was married, in 1828, to Joshua Corbin, of Nicholas County.  He died in 1869 leaving six children: Abram F., Beal, Nathan M., Joshua M., Sarah Chaney, and Martha DrydenNathan is a farmer in Saline County, Mo., Beal lives at home, and Joshua M. is County Surveyor of Fayette.  Mrs. Corbin owns 118 acres of excellent land, eight miles from Paris, which she rents, but resides in her house upon the farm.  She is a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Did Sarah and Martha really marry?  I've found no sign that they did, unless it was between 1880 and 1882.

v. 4,
p. 197
JOSHUA MARSH CORBIN.  For the greater part of half a century Joshua Marsh Corbin has been diligently employed in his profession as a civil enginner, and most of that time his headquarters have been in Lexington.  He is the present county surveyor of Fayette County, and altogether his official association with that office covers twenty years.

Mr. Corbin was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, a son of Joshua and Rachel (Marsh) Corbin.  His parents were also natives of Kentucky and of Bourbon County.  His father was born in 1800 and died in 1869, and his mother died in 1887, at the age of seventy.  Of their seven children, Joshua M. is the only survivor, and he was next to the youngest.  His father was a farmer, and like many Kentucky gentlemen was distinguished by a love of fine horses and high-class cattle.  During the Civil war period he was a stanch Union man, but in politics usually voted independent...
