Birth:  1794-97, NC
Death:  aft. 1850; said to have died in Marshall Co., KY
Military Service:  War of 1812
Occupation:  planter

Father said possibly to beWilliam WYATT
Mother said possibly to beEdith DILDAY

Father may beWilliam WYATT
Mother may beDorothy __?__

The origin of "McGilbra" is almost certainly the surname McGILVERY.

Marriage:  19/20 Feb 1816, Christian Co., KY
Migration:  said to have left Christian Co. for Caldwell Co. [now Marshall Co.] in 1816
Wife:  Lucretia "Lucrecy" DUNN
Birth:  1794/5, SC
Occupation:  homemaker
born in Caldwell [now Marshall] Co., KY:
  1.  William Harrison WYATT, b. 6 Dec 1816
  2.  Elizabeth WYATT, b. 10 Apr 1819
  3.  Rayburn Washington WYATT, b. 14 Oct 1821

born in Calloway [now Marshall] Co., KY:
  4.  Henry C. WYATT, b. 18 Jan 1824
  5.  George W. WYATT, b. 14 Mar 1826
  6.  Martha WYATT, b. 29 Jan 28; d.s.p. 1830-40
  7.  Helen WYATT, b. 1830
  8.  Catherine WYATT, b. 30 Mar 1831
  9.  Nancy H. WYATT, b. 8 Jan 1834
10.  Mary Ann "Polly" WYATT, b. 1 May 1837; d.s.p. 1840-50
11.  Sarah Jane WYATT, b. 4 Jul 1839 or 1840/1

Sarah is only age 9 in the 1850 census and does not show up, at all, in the 1840 census, so I wonder if she really was born in 1839.

Geographical Note:  Until 1818, the area that eventually became Marshall Co. was part of Chickasaw Lands.  In 1818, the Jackson Purchase acquired the Chickasaw Lands, and Livingston Co. expanded to include the northwestern half of the former Chickasaw Lands while Caldwell Co., which had been created from Livingston in 1809, expanded to include the southeastern half.  In 1821/23, Calloway Co. was formed from Caldwell Co., and in 1842, Marshall Co. was formed from Calloway Co.

1820 KY Caldwell [now Marshall] Co. Darnelle Parish p. 57 Ln. 37 Gilbert Wyatt 100100-10100-0-100 no slaves
These data indicate:
No. & Sex  Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 9 or under 1810-1820 = William (b. 1816)
1 male 19-25* 1794-1801 = McGilvery (b. 1794-97)
1 female 9 or under 1810-1820 = Elizabeth (b. 1819)
1 female 16-25 1794-1804 = Lucretia (b. 1794/5)
1 person engaged in agriculture
*In the 1820 Census, the third column is age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25; therefore, any individual in column three is duplicated in column four.  By subtracting the number in column three from the number in column four, you can create an age class "19-25."
List was roughly alphabetized.

Is Druscilla his sister?  Are they both children of William & Dorothy Wyatt?  [John FINLEY is (distantly) related to the William T. WYATT who married Rachel THOMPSON in Todd Co., KY, in 1825.]

William Jessie Wyatt, eldest son of Bazil Holland and Milbrey Williams Wyatt, was born April 24, 1884.  He was a descendant of McGilbry Wyatt and Lucreita Dunn who was married in Christian County in 1816.  McGilbry was from North Carolina. Lucreita was from South Carolina...

9.  LDS.  Ancestral File and IGI (online).  The AF has William Harrison Wyatt, husband of Susan Caroline Bazzell, born in Rowan Co., NC, in 1816, deceased in Calloway Co., KY, in 1837, as the eldest son of James WYATT.  But as shown by William and Susan's 1850 Census record, he was born in Kentucky, not North Carolina, and obviously, he did not die in 1837.  William Harrison Wyatt, husband of Susan Caroline Bazzell, is known to be the son of McGilvery and Lucretia (Dunn) Wyatt.  Whether or not James Wyatt also had a son William Harrison Wyatt is uncertain, at least to me.
