Henry Clay TODD
Nancy BELEW
Nancy HINSON
WARNING:  This page is highly tentative.  Based on the 1850 census, I would have taken Nancy to be the mother of Barton and Julia from her prior marriage, but Nancy married Henry as Nancy HINSON.  So, is HINSON her maiden name?  Or did she have another husband, after her marriage to a PEARCE?

4b.  1860 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #32 of 35):  Richwoods P.O., Big River Twp., Jefferson Co., MO, p. 690, PN 141, 1071/1061, enumerated 9 Aug 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Geo Stroup 28 M   farming   50 Mo
Mary   " 21 F         "

Rudolph  4 M         "
Rufus  5 M         "
Nancy Todd 40 F   Spinstress     "
Bartlett Pierce 21 M   farm-hand     "
This record is hard to fathom.  Surely this is the George STROUP who married Julia Ann PIERCE, sister of Bartlett/Barton PIERCE, in 1856 [Jefferson County marriage records].  So, who is Mary?
