Mr. PIERCE
Nancy HINSON
WARNING:  Consider this page highly tentative.  I've assumed Nancy is the mother of Barton and Julia Ann, but this may not be the case.  I've also interpreted a secondary source to mean that HINSON was Nancy's maiden name, but it could be the surname of a second husband, between Mr. PIERCE and Henry TODD.
Husband:  Mr. PIERCE / PEARCE
Marriage:
Wife:  Nancy HINSON
Birth:  1816/7, KY or MO
Other Spouse:  m2. 28 Nov 1847, Jefferson Co., MO, Henry Clay TODD
Children — born in IL or MO:
1.  Bartlett / Barton A. PIERCE, b. 1841/2
2.  Julia Ann PIERCE, b. 1842/3
Keywords for search engines:  genealogy; USA, US, United States, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri

2.  1850 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #9 of 153):  District No. 42, Jefferson Co., MO, Roll M432_402, p. 411A, 66/66, enumerated 9 Aug 1850, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Henry Clay Todd 31 M   Farmer   Ky
Nancy       " 33 F       Ky
Barton A Pearce  8 M       Ills
Julia A    "  7 F       Ills

3.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #32 of 35):  Richwoods P.O., Big River Twp., Jefferson Co., MO, p. 690, PN 141, 1071/1061, enumerated 9 Aug 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Geo Stroup 28 M   farming   50 Mo
Mary   " 21 F         "
Silas  6 M         "
Mary 6/12 F         "
Rudolph  4 M         "
Rufus  5 M         "
Nancy Todd 40 F   Spinstress     "
Bartlett Pierce 21 M   farm-hand     "
It's hard to fathom this record.  Surely this is the George STROUP who married Julia Ann PIERCE, sister of Bartlett/Barton PIERCE, in 1856.  So, who is Mary?

4.  1870 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Nancy not found, at least not as Nancy TODD.  Can't find George & Julia, but Barton PIERCE (æ 27, b. IL) is married and living in Central Twp., Jefferson Co., MO (p. 230B).

5.  1880 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Nancy not found, at least not as Nancy TODD.  George & Julia (æ 38, b. IL/unk/unk) are living in Meramec Twp., Franklin Co., MO (q.v.).  Barton PIERCE (æ 39, b. MO/MO/IL) is married and living in Prairie Twp., Franklin Co., MO (p. 206C).
