His test results indicate he is genetically related to the NEWHOUSE family (originally German NEUHAUS). More paper research and more DNA testing are definitely needed, but it appears probable that our subject is a descendant of Isaac NEWHOUSE I of Philadelphia, PA, who moved to Wythe, then Fauquier, then lastly Washington Co., VA.

There was only one adult male NEWHOUSE known to be living in Washington, Smyth, or Wythe Co. at the time our subject was conceived (see census timeline), namely, this John NEWHOUSE, so it appears he can be the only candidate for being Jacob's father:

Biological Mother may be: Nancy JAMERSON

If Jacob Jackson was the adopted son of this John NEWHOUSE, then his mother would presumably be John's wife at the time, Nancy JAMERSON; and, in which case, we may be able to find the adoption in the county guardianship records. Alternatively, our subject could be the result of an illicit relationship between John NEWHOUSE and Mary (KETTENRING) STROUP, in which case, it's unlikely we would be able to prove it, especially as our subject had no daughters to pass on Mary's mtDNA.
