p. 656 David A. Stroup resided with his father until twenty-four years of age, meanwhile assisting him on the farm.  He has more recently been engaged in the wood and lumber business, though much of his life has been spent as a farmer.  He married, August 6, 1862, Mary E., daughter of Thomas and Mary Kearns.  Of their eleven children, seven are now living.
