For their ages, someone had typed in 34, 33, 14, 8, and 5; then someone came back and penciled in the higher ages for everyone, except wife Katharina. They are ethnic Germans, not Romanians (see next source). In Column 28 (deformed or crippled) for Paul, "no" had been typed in, then someone had penciled in something I cannot read. I did not abbreviate the colors; they were abbreviated on the manifest, so no way to tell whether "Bl" was Blue, Blond, or Black.

These are the only Paul STRAUB's and the only Kath* STRAUB's in the entire database whose cards were issued in Illinois. There were five Frank STRAUB's in the database whose cards were issued in Illinois, but only two whose last residence was Chicago and only one who was born ca. 1911/2. Still, confirmation that these are, indeed, our subjects is desirable.

5. Global Gazetteer (by Falling Rain Genomics, Inc.): The gazetter shows no such place as "Logovat" in Romania, so it is apparently a mis-hearing/mis-spelling of Glogovat.
