1. Marriage Record: 2. 1870 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com): can't find, and with given names like Gottleib and Elmira, they should be easy to find. I even did pages-by-page searches of Stoystown, Quemahoning Twp., and Paint Twp. I can't find John MAUCK/MOCK, either. Jacob's parents were in Paint Twp. in the 1850 and 1860 census, and I can't find them in 1870, either. Sounds like the enumerator missed an area or pages are missing. 3. 1880 Census (indexed at FamilySearch.org; page image online at Ancestry.com, Image #26 of 27 — indexed "Gotlaeb Straub"): Paint Twp., Somerset Co., PA, Roll T9-1195 (Book 1), p. 410B, PN 26, SD 8, ED 18, enumerated 24 Jun 1880, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1880 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•

Everything I have is online at this web site. I have no further information, so please don't write asking me if I do.
On the other hand, if you feel I've made an error, please don't hesitate to notify me, but in which case, There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page. |
"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal
