This record was hard to read.  I have not been able to connect Clinton CLARK to Benjamin or Martha, so I suspect the connection is with Bernice.  That is, I suspect that Bernice is Benjamin's (or Martha's) niece and that Clinton is her husband, which technically means he is not their nephew, but "husband of the niece"; in other words, that the blood connection is with Bernice, not Clinton.

9a.  Anon.  24 Mar 1921.  "B.F. Straub Dies at Sallis, Oklahama: Brother of the Late Mrs. O.J. Elliott, of Marion."  The Marion Daily Star, Marion, Ohio, p. 2 (online at Ancestry.com):
News has just been received here of the death of Benjamin Franklin Straub, a former resident of Waldo, who died suddenly from heart trouble at his home at Sallis, Oklahoma, March 11, at the age of seventy-five years.

Mr. Staub (sic) was born at Waldo, but he had been in the West a number of years.  He was a brother of the late Mrs. O.J. Elliott, of this city; Mrs. William Gabler, of Waldo, and Mrs. Mary McClausland, of Prospect.  He is survived by a son, Enid Straub, and a sister, Mrs. M.A. Coleman, formerly of this city, who resided with him.

9b.  Anon.  Monday, 23 Mar 1941.  "From News of Other Years."  The Marion Star, Marion Co., OH (online at Ancestry.com).  On p. 6:
Word was received here that Benjamin F. Straub, former resident of Waldo, had died at his home in Sallis, Okla., at the age of 75.

10.  I searched the Lincoln and Sequoyah County OKGenWeb sites for STRAUB/STROUB/MEADOR/MEADORS using the sites' own search engines.  The only result (as of 3 Mar 2003) was one recent occurrence of MEADOR and one of MEADORS, in Sequoyah Co.

11.  WorldConnect / Ancestry World Trees (online at RootsWeb.com/Ancestry.com):  not found (as of 3 Mar 2003).
