The woman on the line just above Zerelda was age 21, so it looks like the enumerator made an error transcribing his field notes to the population schedules. If you think it wasn't a mistake and that this is not our subject, consider the likelihood of a 21-year-old woman having eight children or owning a farm free and clear. Either that or, at age 85, Zerelda had gone so senile she gave her age as 21. Note also the number of children birthed and surviving as given in 1900 and 1910. Zee had three children with Robert Salee and five with Reuben.
