John is Charles's widowed father, and "Parkin" [Elmer] is Charles's brother.  Maude is the daughter of Charles, not John, so she should have been labeled granddaughter, in relation to John.

I cannot find our subjects, at least not under any obvious variations of their names, but it appears a virtual certainty that our subjects are deceased because, otherwise, Gail would be living with his parent(s).

6.  Broderbund.  World Family Trees.  Volume 9, Pedigree No. 2738.  Shows only one wife for Charles (viz., Molla) and no children.

7.  Email from Sherri Cope:
Isabelle was the daughter of Jonas Bachar and Catherine Dumbaugh as evidenced by Jonas' 1884 Wyandot Co. probate records which list his children and Mary Isabel Parkin(s) is listed as a daughter living in Cary.  In the 1850 Fairfield Co. census she is listed with her parents as Mary, in 1860 Fairfield Co. census Mary I. and in 1870 Wyandot Co. census as Isabella.
