Sources (n.b., Clark Co. was formed in 1819):

1a.  Mercer Co. Area Marriages (online at the KYMercer GenWeb site):
McClure, Nathaniel Grace Gallaghar 29 Jun 1807

2a.  1810 U.S. Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  The only Nathaniel McCLURE in the Kentucky census was in Boone County, and this is a mature couple with seven children, so it wouldn't appear to be our subject, unless he had a prior marriage, which is entirely possible.  The 1810 census of Illinois Territory was lost, except for Randolph County.

2b.  1810 U.S. Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #1 of 34 — list was roughly alphabetized; official enumeration date 6 Aug 1810; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
1810 KY Mercer Co. Roll 7 p. 153 Ln. 12 Goloher Charles 22001-42101-00
These data indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
2 males 9 or under 1800-1810 = William GALLAGHER (b. 1809/10)
= Son A GALLAGHER
2 males 10-15 1794-1800 = Charles GALLAGHER (b. 1794/5)
= Nathaniel McCLURE (in wrong age class)
1 male 45 or over by 1765 = Charles GALLAGHER
4 females 9 or under 1800-1810 = Sarah McCLURE (b. 1810)
= Mary McCLURE (b. 1807)
= Daughter D GALLAGHER
= Daughter C GALLAGHER
2 females 10-15 1794-1800 = Daughter B GALLAGHER
= Daughter A GALLAGHER
1 female 16-25 1784-1794 = Grace (GALLAGHER) McCLURE (b. 1791)
1 female 45 or over by 1765 = Nancy GALLAGHER
It's not impossible for Nancy to have had six children in ten years, but my guess here is that their married daughter, Grace (GALLAGHER) McCLURE, her husband, and at least two(?) of her young children (both daughters) are living with them.

3.  1820 U.S. Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  The only McCLURE indexed in Clark Co., IL, is Nathaniel's uncle, John McCLURE (æ 45+), and there's no room in his household for Grace.  There is a Nathaniel McCLEUR in Mercer Co., KY, but our subject is allegedly deceased.

4.  1830 U.S. Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #7 of 50; official enumeration date 1 Jun 1830; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

The page is full of blots and smudges — and roughly alphabetized, but very oddly.

6.  1850 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #7 of 33):  Darwin Pct., Dist. No. 48, Clark Co., IL, Roll M432_100, p. 222A, 795/795, enumerated 20 Sep 1850, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
