3. Anon. 1991. The 1795 Census of Kentucky [as constructed from tax lists]. T.L.C. Genealogy, Miami Beach, FL (said to include every extant tax list from every county existing in the state of Kentucky in 1795): Joshua not found, and a tax list for Hardin County is included. 4a. 1800 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com): can't find, which probably means he was in KY because the 1800 KY census was lost, while the PA census was not. (The Joshua KELLEY and wife in Huntingdon Co., PA, are too young to be our subject and have no children born before 1790, so they're not the couple there in 1790.) 4b. Census Index: U.S. Selected Counties, 1800 (Broderbund CD-312): This CD includes tax and other records as a substitute for missing censuses, and while there are some Joshua KELLEY/KELLYs included, none appear to be our subject. 5. 1810 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #20 of 24; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
6. 1820 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #8 of 9; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
7. 1830 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com): said to be living, but the only KELLEY/KELLY in Owen Co., IN, is Joshua II. If our subject is a widower, he's likely living with a married daughter. . Broderbund. World Family Trees. Vol. 8, Pedigree #804 and #804. Simply gives our subject as son of William KELLEY and, erroneously, Elizabeth GORSACH; no spouse or children for Joshua. |
