William HANKS
Ms. __?__
Please Note:  Secondary sources differ with regard to the number and identity of our subject's wives, giving him from one to as many as four.  As my only interest here is CARRICO, I'm not going to take the time to sort out and document the others, but based on William's age and the older children in the censuses, he definitely had at least one wife before he married Nancy.

1c.  Virginia Marriages, 1785-1940 (online at familysearch.org).

All three of the above sources show this marriage record:
Hanks, Willam Carrico, Nancy 2 Jan 1820 VA Grayson Co.
None of these three sources has a likely earlier marriage for William or a later one.  The 1812 marriage in Bedford Co., VA, has to be a different William HANKS because he's enumerated in the 1820 census of Bedford County.
