2.  1850 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #3 of 160):  Caswell Co., NC, Roll M432_623, p. 179A, 74/75, enumerated 20 Jul 1850, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

Mary is John's mother (she's almost certainly fibbing about her age).  Frances, Elizabeth, Martha, and Margaret are John's unmarried sisters.  Augustin and Pinckney are attributed to Frances.

3.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #45-46 of 153):  Yanceyville P.O., Caswell Co., NC, Roll M653_891, p. 327A-327B / 657-658, PN 45-46, 351/357, enumerated 3 Jul 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

A standard reading of this record would have P. and Wm. FUQUA the children of a prior marriage of John.  But P. FUQUA is said to be John's nephew, Pinckney, son of his unmarried sister, Frances FUQUA, yet I find myself wondering if he isn't John's son by a prior marriage.  And who is William?  Is this the son of John's sister, Emeline FUQUA, enumerated a second time?
