Martha is our subject's granddaughter, which means she has to be Sally's illegitimate child. I cannot find any Weldon ca. age 6 in the 1860 census who appears to be this child. Is Weldon also Sally's child, hidden from the enumerator in 1860 because he was illegitimate?
