This record was extremely difficult to read; this extraction is neither complete nor entirely accurate.  Apparently the person filling out the manifest was a native speaker because, for example, he wrote Glogovacs with the terminal s with the little tail on it (with a cedilla, which my HTML editor won't allow me to enter).  There are additional places where I believe the reason I can't read the record is that the characters used are not English.  But note that the origin is indexed Glovovacz, which may mean that "z" is the proper transciption of the terminal letter.  "Fiume" is the Italian name for the port city of Rijeka, Croatia [part of former Yugoslavia].  On the same page are Paul & Anna STRAUB, also of Glovovacz, but destined for Portland, OR.
