These data indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 4 or under 1835-1840 = Joseph Nelson (b. 1833)
1 male 20-29 1810-1820 = sibling? hired hand? or John? (b. 1826)
1 male 30-39 1800-1810 = Joseph (b. 1810)
1 female 5-9 1830-1835 = Mary Ellen (b. 1836/7)
1 female 30-39 1800-1810 = Eleanor (b. 1802)
1 person employed in agriculture
I find it hard to convince myself this is our subject's household.  John is old enough to be working out, but why have him work out if you have to hire a replacement?  Assuming Jacob Edgar hasn't been born yet, that leaves Joseph Nelson in the wrong age class.  Or is this all simply enumerator error and both John and Joseph Nelson are simply tallied wrong?  Listed next to William LIPTEROM(?).

I would have taken John (surname unreadable) to be Eleanor's father, but secondary sources say her father is Uriah LEFTER.  Back then, the abbreviation for Indiana was "Ia."  Also back then, the term, "idiotic," was applied to anyone with any sort of mental disability, including not just low intelligence, but senile dementia, alcoholism, and even being deaf and dumb.  Listed next to John CUPP/CAPP (æ 24, b. KY).
