John W. CUPP
Christina RINGER
Husband:  John W. CUPP
Birth:  1839/40, Preston Co., VA [now WV]
Death:  1910
Occupation:  farmer

John's parents are said to be John L. CUPP & Mary WILHELM, but they do not have a son, John, in the 1850 (or 1860) census.  He does appear to be the John CUPP living with John Peter & Sarah (WILHELM) CUPP in 1850, as his grandchild?

Wife:  Christina "Tina" RINGER
Birth:  1847/8, VA [presumably now WV]
Occupation:  homemaker
Children born in Preston Co., WV:
1.  Samuel CUPP, b. 1864/5
2.  William Henry CUPP, b. 2 Mar 1867
3.  (Son) CUPP, b. Dec 1869; d. by 1880
4.  Marshall CUPP, b. 1870
5.  Ira CUPP, b. 1873/4
6.  Sylvester CUPP, b. 1875/6
7.  Howard CUPP, b. 1878/9

They are said to have a son, "Emery," born 1876 (d. 1960; m. Sarah SPIKER).  Are Emery and Sylvester the same person?

This record is extremely difficult to read; I may not have gotten it entirely correct.  John's middle initial could be "W" or just about anything else.

It does read "Fena," but surely it should be "Tena."  She is fibbing about her age (she should be 32).
