Conrad CUPP
Frances __?__
PLEASE NOTE:  Conrad's age varies wildly though the censuses, yet geography and the composition of the family shows these Hocking County records are, indeed, of one family.  The connection to Christopher is based solely on the fact that the two are listed next to each other in the 1840 census — and that most of Christopher's children remain unidentified.

Angeline BROWN is Sarah's daughter from a marriage in 1851, though I have no explanation why Sarah is going by her maiden name.  Listed two households from William & Mary (ROBERTS) HULS, whose son, Owen HULS, would later marry two of our subjects' daughters (viz., Ann M. CUPP and Susan L. CUPP).

"Sanna" is the German spelling of "Susannah."  Is Sanna another given name of Fanny's or is this enumerator error?  The tick marks in columns 11 and 12 supposedly indicate that Conrad's parents were foreign-born, but in the 1880 census their birthplaces are given as Pennsylvania and, in fact, they were born in VA.  Or should those tick marks have been for his wife?  Fanny's father was born in Baden.  Angeline BROWN is Sarah's daughter from a marriage in 1851, though I have no explanation why Sarah is going by her maiden name.

I have a letter dated March 23, 2003 from the Fairfield County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society that confirms that Conrad Cupp and Frances Cupp, his wife, are buried in Row #6 of the Zion- Mt. Nebo-Nego Cemetery, North side of Drinkle rd. (cr 71) 1/8 mile east of Hedge Rd. Additionally, Lucy A. Cupp is buried in the same row. This cemetery is in Madison Twp.

They show Conrad being born in 1800 and died in 1888. Frances was born in 1802 and died in 1886. Lucy died June 2, 1895 aged 76y 2m 18days...

10.  Birthdate calculated using Ben Buckner's Birthdate Calculator.
Name Deathdate Age at Death Result
Lucy CUPP 2 Jun 1895 18d 2m 76y 15 Mar 1819
(Calculated birthdates should always be prefaced with "ca." — you can't be certain the person who calculated their age did it correctly.)
Lucy's age makes her a probable sister or sister-in-law of Conrad.
