7. Broderbund. World Family Trees. Vol. 10, Pedigree No. 975. Says Charles and Nancy were born and married in "Maitlen County," PA, but there is no such place (see below). Charles was almost certainly born in Ohio (his younger brother was born in Ohio), and we know he was married in Ohio.

8. U.S. Geological Survey. GNIS: Geographic Names Information Service (online database). The only "Maitlen" in the database is in Washington state. There is a "Maitland" in Mifflin Co., PA.
