There is a Henry CORBIN, born 1861 in England, who immigrated to New York ca. 1884.  A male CORBIN who is a patrilineal line descendant of Henry's turns out to be a strong Y-DNA match to the CORBIN males descended from Nicholas CORBIN, 1671 immigrant to Maryland.  There is obviously a connection between these two immigrants somewhere "back in the Old Country," so finding Henry's origin means the many American descendants of Nicholas CORBIN will finally have "crossed the pond"!  Below is a table to aid in tracking down which Henry CORBIN in the 1861, 1871, and 1881 censuses of England, including the Channel Islands, is the 1884 immigrant. 

Henry's own census records are indicated though, in the U.S., the censuses are on the even decade, and while the entire 1890 U.S. Federal Census is missing, there was a State Census in New York in 1892.  Henry is highlighted below in green.  Other families are highlighted in the colors used on the England census pages.
