16a.  New York, New York, Death Index, 1862-1948 (online at Ancestry.com; ordered certificate 23 May 2014):
Name Henry Corbin
Birth Year abt 1861
Age 73
Death Date 26 Mar 1934
Death Place Richmond, NY
Certificate Number 658
Richmond County is Staten Island.

16b.  Standard Certificate of Death:  Henry Corbin.
Note that we have our classic "ill-informed informant" in the person of Henry's daughter, Mrs. Lorraine (CORBIN) JOHNSON.  Keep in mind that Henry's parents did not immigrate to the U.S., so Lorraine never met her paternal grandparents.  These kinds of errors are typical of death certificates, a problem I discuss further in this article on the reliability of death certificates and tombstones.  Thankfully, we have both Henry's birth record and his marriage record.
