Henry Robert CORBIN
Marie F. CHAPMAN
WARNING:  Secondary sources are confusing our subject with the Henry "Harry" CORBIN, Jr. (b. 17 May 1893, Brooklyn, NY) who was son of Henry & Mary Frances (HASENOHR) CORBIN and married Elizabeth __?__.  These are two different men.  Ironically, both Henry's were born about the same time in New York, and both named their first two children Virginia and Henry, though in opposite order.  Nevertheless, it is a coincidence, and the two men do not appear related.  Our subject is a patrilineal descendant of Clement CORBIN (1626-1686), early immigrant to New England, while the other Henry's father is, himself, the immigrant.

One secondary source says her parents are this couple:
Father:  John / Charles CHAPMAN of Callaway Co., MO
Mother:  Katherine Virginia FINLEY (1867-1946) of St. Louis, MO
but I cannot find any such couple in the 1900 census, much less one with a daughter, Marie (or Maria or Mary or M.).  On the other hand, see the CADI, below.

This record appears to be the source of Marie's mother's maiden name being FINLEY, but have two Marie's been mixed up here?  Other possibilities is that Cora HIGBEE was married more than once or simply that the informant for the death certificate was in error.
