Elmer Ellsworth CORBIN
Ms. __?__
Dollie S. __?__
NOTE:  Our subject is alleged to have had an affair with his first cousin, Rebecca STEPHENS, resulting in an illegitimate son, Wilmer E., who was later adopted by Rebecca's husband, Benjamin Harrison ROBISON.  DNA testing of a son of Wilmer E. ROBISON disproves this alleged connection because these CORBINs are Haplogroup G2 while Wilmer's son is Haplorgoup R1b1.  Please see this page for further discussion.

Column 15 is "Age at First Marriage."  If Elmer married first at age 25 (1903/4), then in the 1910 census, he should have been labled divorced or widowed, not single.  Also, if Dollie married first at age 16, she had at least one husband prior to Elmer.

8.  Anon. 1919.  In the World War, 1917-1918-1919, Otoe County, Nebraska. "Manufacturer": W.K. Keithley, M.J. Wilkins, R.P. Lawrance, C.E. Fowler (online at the Otoe County NEGenWeb site):  On p. 24:
CORBIN, ELMER E., Sergeant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Corbin, Avoca, Nebraska, was born November 22, 1882, at North Branch, Neb.  Entered the service May 1, 1917, at Fort Logan, Colo.  Served on the Mexican Border and in France.  Was with the 6th Field Artillery, Battery B.  Transferred to Headquarters troops, later to Headquarters Battalion, Company C.  Was on special duty from October 17, 1917 to June 4, 1919, General Headquarters, France.  Discharged July 2, 1919 at Mitchel Field, Camp Mills, L.I.
Elmer was born in 1879.  Avoca is in Cass County, and I see no sign that Henry every lived there.
