I'll wager "Canico" is a mis-reading of Carico and "Fanny" is a mis-reading of "Anny" or some other kind of error.  These Indiana marriage records were extracted during the Great Depression by employees of the Works Progress Administration, as a way of supplying income to the unemployed.  These people were not genealogists and not experienced at extracting historical records.  These extractions and compilations contain a great many errors; and, because they do, I'm willing to accept that the 1882 marriage record is that of our subject and his first wife.  It is recommended that the original records (or a microfilm of them) be consulted.

It's hard to imagine something more filled with errors than the WPA marriage records, but the birth records are, and similar reasons.  I haven't a clue why some births were recorded twice.  The original records need to be consulted.
Did John marry, again?  Or is Minnie BAKER just Annie (TIBBETS) BAKER?
